Our ski school journey started back in 2001 in Verbier and has since expanded into Grindelwald, Wengen, Gstaad, Zermatt, Andermatt, and St. Moritz. We always had one simple belief in mind that every client deserves to have the best possible experience, from booking lessons through to enjoying an incredible day with your instructor on the mountain. Our Verbier Ski School provides the most comprehensive range of ski lessons and snowboard lessons in Verbier. Including Private Lessons and Group Lessons for all ages and abilities. We also offer advanced Performance Coaching and Off-Piste Coaching for intermediate and advanced skiers looking to improve their technical ski performance.

Childrens Group Lessons

The children’s instructors are qualified, fun, friendly and absolutely love teaching.

Group lessons are run in English, and start from the age of 3 years.

The focus is on fun, safety and learning.

Experience one to one ski coaching with some of Verbier’s most experienced instructors.

Off Piste Guiding

Ideal for beginner to advanced off piste skiers who are looking to get away from the crowded pistes, and hopefully find some untouched powder snow. Each session includes tips, technical improvements and video analysis.

We can also arrange high mountain guides if you are wishing to travel far from the ski area or on glaciated terrain.

They improved their skills and also enjoyed themselves. The lessons were a good mixture of working on technique, doing some challenging skiing, and also doing some fun skiing. Technically one of the best I have had over many years, but also great at communicating her instruction as well as a very nice person who made sure we were all happy and enjoying the lesson. As complete beginners we felt confident after our two lessons to head down runs on our own, Ben didn’t overwhelm us with information and made sure we were having fun whilst making progress. Within the first hour of the lesson I was having more fun on a snowboard than I have in my last 2 trips. I have snowboarded for 10 years and felt like I improved my boarding by 100% inside the 3 hour lesson with some simple tips. Highly recommend

She was so attentive, easy to get on with and really enthusiastic. I felt very comfortable and learnt how to ski a lot faster than expected as well. High recommend her! If you are a beginner, I think its best to confirm with your instructor before buying a lift pass, as I was able to go on the mountain quicker than I expected and did not need one on the beginner slope for my first day.

He is incredibly knowledgeable and confident in both his skiing and coaching, which made me feel comfortable and motivated throughout my lessons.  Verified Grindelwald - Altitude Ski Lessons. AMAZING ! Went to Grindelwald ,Kleine Scheidegg.4 days of lessons.. what a pleasure. Ryan was our tutor, we were lucky to have him for myself and my son. Ryan was fabulous and made it so easy and with with no tree. It was my son's first time skiing, so was a little worried. BUT Ryan was great with him, and me. a total pleasure.  Verified A little ski addict is born! Our 4 y/old daughter had her first ski experience in the mountains with Altitude in Zermatt. She had the most amazing time with ‘Juf’ (teacher) Saar Jacqueline. A little ski addict is born with Saar’s help, riding the red slopes at the end of the week. Would definitely recommend Altitude and Saar Jacqueline!

 Verified Professional, safe and very friendly We have been regularly skying with Altitude since 2007 and have always been delighted. Teachers are highly qualified professionals, very friendly and helped us progress steadily. They know Verbier's domain perfectly and always know about the overall conditions - weather, quality and quantity of snow, places to go to avoid the crowd during the high seasons, while ensuring our safety. They can accommodate and adapt to all kind of situations. Martina and Remy have been teaching ski to my son since 2015 with talent, patience and real kindness. They have also managed to correct from top to bottom my posture and technique that I had developed on my own without any class over the years.  Verified Excellent ski school Our 4 children were split between 2 ski groups with instructors Valdemar and Julian for 5 days full day lessons with Altitude Ski in Wengen. All 4 of them had a fantastic week - Valdemar and Julian were both exceptionally kind and patient as well as being excellent teachers. The children had a lot of fun and enjoyed every minute - we even had to sign up for an extra half day for the youngest as he didn’t want to miss any chance to be out with his ski group. Thank you Valdemar and Julian. We will definitely be using Altitude again.

 Verified Memories of a lifetime! Our family came back this February for our annual Verbier trip and Altitude ski school exceeded our expectations! Most notably was Rosie who took our 6 yr old from a beginner to jumping up 3 levels by the end of the week. She went above and beyond by taking great care of him, giving him confidence and most importantly having genuine fun! He didn’t mind the extra runs at the end of the day that Rosie took him on either(even though you were not obligate to do so). 100% booking with Altitude and Rosie better be there next year : )

 Verified Excellent, friendly instructors Just returned from our third successive year in Grindelwald. The Altitude team have been great with our children, now 14 and 12 years old, every year. The instructors have all been really friendly and encouraging, and have responded to both children’s needs, resulting in them loving their skiing and becoming good skiers. Small class sizes mean each child gets personalised advice. My wife and I have also had a couple of private lessons each year, which has improved our skiing and enabled us to cover many of the region’s runs. Highly recommended.
